How to apply

  1. Document gathering

    Obtain an acceptance letter from a Czech educational institution accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. Program must be for more than 90 days.

  2. Online application

    Fill out the long-term visa application form available at the Czech MFA website.

  3. Fee payment

    Pay 2500 CZK visa application fee.

  4. Appointment booking

    Schedule an in-person appointment at the Czech embassy or consulate. Apply 2-3 months before intended start date.

  5. Document submission

    Submit all documents in person at the Czech embassy/consulate. An interview may be conducted.

  6. Biometrics

    Provide fingerprints at the embassy during application submission.

  7. Processing wait

    Processing takes 60-120 days. The Ministry of the Interior examines applications.

  8. Visa collection

    Upon approval, submit proof of health insurance and collect the long-term visa from the embassy.
