Schengen Type C visa for medical treatment at a Latvian healthcare facility for stays up to 90 days. When applying, the purpose is specified as medical treatment on the application form. An official document from the receiving medical institution confirming that specific medical treatment can be performed and the patient can be accepted is required. For treatments requiring longer stays, a long-stay D-type visa must be applied for. Visa-free nationals from Annex II countries can seek medical treatment during their 90-day visa-free stay without a specific medical visa.

How to apply

3. Appointment booking

   Book an appointment at the Latvian embassy, consulate, or VFS Global centre.

4. Fee payment

   Pay the visa application fee of EUR 90.

5. Document submission

   Submit all documents in person during your appointment.

6. Biometrics

   Provide biometric data if not recorded within the past 59 months.

7. Processing wait

   Wait for processing, typically 15 calendar days. Urgent medical cases may be expedited.
